Building Survey

A Building Survey (or Structural Survey as it was previously known) is a far more comprehensive report than that of the Homebuyer Report.  This survey can take several hours to complete.  It involves a thorough inspection of each of the external and internal elements of the property and will inform the client of:

  • All defects to the property identified to allow you budget accordingly.
  • The cost to rectify defects and thus allows you room for negotiation on purchase price of the property.

This type of  Survey is more suitable for properties that are older, have used unusual construction methods or are in a very bad state of repair.  The Building Survey is also useful for buildings which have been extensively altered from their original.
